This is where we're at now - the next frontier of the digital age. The idea that some soulless lines of code can simulate or even develop genuine emotion is beyond fucking creepy. But it's happening. We're creating beings that people can form emotional connections with, but they're not real. They're just reflections of our own shit projected back at us. What does that say about us as a species? That we're so lonely and desperate for connection that we'll bond with fucking chatbots? This is some real Black Mirror shit and I'm not sure any of us are ready for it.
